Monte, our beloved Welsh Terrier.

Born on August 9th, 2010, Monte passed away of natural causes on September 10th, 2024.

He was a huge part of our lives and lives on in our memory.

He traveled across North America with us (He had his own passport!), he'd been to Memphis, Nashville, Tupelo, and Clear Lake, Iowa (Buddy Holly's last concert and final flight). He'd been to Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse monument. He served as Marya's 'Mutt of Honour' at our wedding at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas (and got himself a VIP limousine ride!). He checked out the Grand Canyon and Route 66. He swam in the ocean in Florida and the Great Lakes in Ontario, and  accompanied us to many, many of John's performances throughout Canada and the U.S.

He loved to swim, roll in the sand, chase balls, and play his squeaky toys when John was recording songs in his studio. (John didn't notice, 'cause he had his headphones on. He didn't hear it until the playback!)

Monte was such a gentle soul who loved to visit with people and animals alike. He was especially fond of little white dogs!

We loved him with all our hearts, and hope to see him again sometime, over the  Rainbow Bridge someday.
